The Bromsgrove International Musicians’ Competition is an international competition with previous winners and finalists from countries all over the globe. Many of them have been able to use The Bromsgrove as a stepping stone to becoming truly professional musicians who enjoy both national and international recognition and success. The Winner is not only awarded a monetary prize but also opportunities to give further recitals.
What the Competition involves for a competitor
Competitors should carefully read the Rules to ensure eligibility and conformity. The Competition is in three stages after initial acceptance; a Preliminary Round which will be for 54 competitors who will be allocated times on Wednesday 30 March, Thursday 31 March and Friday morning 1 April 2016. There will then be a Semi-Final Round for the 19 competitors selected by the adjudicators on Friday. The final round will take place for 4 competitors chosen to move forward to that round known as The Finalists’ Concert which will take place at 7 pm on Sunday 3 April 2016.
After the Chairman of the Adjudicators has announced the order of winners, the prizes will be presented and the winner of the First Prize will be expected to play an short encore of their own choosing lasting not more than 5 minutes.
