Help

To upload a video to YouTube you will need to be logged in to your Google account. If you do not currently have a Google account, you can sign up at https://accounts.google.com/.

If you are using a mobile phone to upload your video, the easiest way is to download the YouTube app. Once logged in:

If using Android:

  • From the Apps Menu screen, choose the Gallery app.
  • View the video you want to upload
  • Touch the Share button, and choose YouTube from the menu.
  • Fill in the blanks to describe the video
  • Touch the Upload button.

If using Apple iOS:

  • Download and open the YouTube app
  • Choose the camera icon at the top of the screen and allow access if it asks.
  • Choose the video
  • Click Next. Fill in the form and click upload

It is also possible to upload from your computer. Once the video files are on your computer, first log in to YouTube and then:

  • Click the upload icon at the top right of the screen
  • Click the 'Select files to upload' icon and choose your video
  • Choose the video
  • Fill in the form
  • Press upload

Please note: In order to keep each entry anonymous, please do not put your name in the title of the video. Please title it with the piece you are playing. Please set the 'Privacy' setting, when prompted, to be 'Unlisted'.

It is the address of both videos you will need to provide us with. To do this:

  • Log into YouTube
  • Click 'My Channels'
  • Click the video in 'Uploads'
  • Make a note of the address at the top of your browser. This will be in a format similar to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxxxx .This address is case sensitive so must be exactly as it is written.
