Welcome to the www.bromsgrovecompetition.com website (the ‘Website’) terms and conditions. (‘The Bromsgrove International Musicians Competition’, ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’) All goods and services purchased by the Buyer, hereafter named the ‘Customer’, from the Seller, hereinafter referred to as ‘BIMC’, are subject to the terms and conditions set out here (and the documents referred to on it).

Please ensure you have fully read and understood the terms and conditions before ordering from the website. By placing an order with us you are accepting that you agree with the terms and conditions laid out and are bound by them.

1. Ordering from the website

1.1. The personal information required will be collected in order to process the order quickly and accurately. When placing an order the Customer must ensure that their email address entered is correct and their mail box is in full working order so they are able to receive confirmation emails that are sent once their order has been accepted.
1.2. Contracts formed between the Customer and BIMC will be governed according to English Law, and as such, disputes which occur shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
1.3. Please ensure when purchasing items that you are aware of the total purchase price. This amount will be confirmed to you on the ‘review your order’ page and on your confirmation email, and queries regarding pricing should be raised as soon as reasonably possible. You are responsible for checking prices at the time the order is placed as prices are subject to change without notice.
1.4. The payment card will be debited immediately after the order is accepted. Therefore if any item is subsequently cancelled a refund will then be credited back to your account.
1.5. When an order is placed by the Customer an email will be sent which acknowledges receipt of the order placed.

2. Marketing communications
2.1. Registered users who opt in to receive email communications and users who sign up to receive our newsletters may unsubscribe from these communications at any time by:
• clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ links contained in every email we send (will unsubscribe you from email only)
• contacting the Customer Services team by emailing us at admin@bromsgrovecompetition.com.

3. Payment
3.1. By purchasing goods using a credit or debit card you are confirming that the card being used is yours and that you have no objections to us performing any authorisation checks which we deem necessary.

4. Security policy

4.1. Our Payment Service Provider is Sage Pay (formerly Protx) – the largest independent payment service provider (PSP) in the UK and Ireland.
4.2. Sage Pay provides a secure payment gateway (Level 1 PCI DSS). It is Sage Pay’s utmost priority to ensure that transaction data is handled in a safe and secure way.
4.3. Sage Pay uses a range of secure methods such as fraud screening, I.P address blocking and 3D secure. Once on the Sage Pay systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards.
4.4. Sage Pay is PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant to the highest level and maintains regular security audits. They are also regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure that their systems are impenetrable.
4.5. The Customer can tell the session is in a secure encrypted environment when they see https:// in the web address, and/or when they see the locked padlock symbol alongside the URL.

5. Statutory rights
5.1. Your statutory rights are not affected by our returns process.

6. Privacy Policy
6.1. In order to make a purchase with BIMC, all Customers will be required to enter their personal details. By purchasing off the site, or registering with BIMC, you agree to the terms and conditions laid out.
6.2. Details collected upon registration will include your name, e-mail address, postal address and telephone number. We will also monitor registered Customers’ site usage, purchasing and traffic patterns to improve the functionality of our website design in addition to the products and services offered.
6.3. The data you submit will be used by BIMC and our processors to fulfil your order and also to notify you of any functional changes.
6.4. Please Note: All personal information held by BIMC will remain private and secure; BIMC will not pass on to third parties any of your personal information.
6.5. If you would like to verify your details held by BIMC, you can make this request by getting in touch via admin@bromsgrovecompetition.com using the email account you registered with. We would strongly recommend that you do not use the browser's password memory function as your personal information would be accessible to any third parties who may use your PC.

7. Accessibility
7.1. We have endeavoured to ensure all users are able to view the website in its entirety, however we cannot be held accountable for difficulties experienced by individual users. If you experience any viewing related issues please email us at chairman@bromsgrovecompetition.com and we will endeavour to resolve the problem.

8. Third Party Links
8.1. Bromsgrove Competition will not be responsible or liable for your use of any other websites which may be accessed via links within this website. Bromsgrove Competition does not control these websites and is not responsible for their content. Any such links are provided merely as a service to users and their inclusion does not constitute an endorsement by or affiliation with Bromsgrove Competition.

9. General
9.1. Whilst all reasonable care is taken to ensure accuracy of the contents and information on this site, Bromsgrove Competition or anyone associated with Bromsgrove Competition cannot accept any liability for any loss arising out of direct or indirect use of this information
9.2. While Bromsgrove Competition takes all reasonable steps to ensure a fast and reliable service, it does not guarantee that your use of this website will be interruption or error free. We will not be responsible for: any disruption, corruption of any material in transit, or loss of material or data when downloaded onto any computer system.
9.3. The entire liability of Bromsgrove Competition under or in connection with any contract for any products to which these conditions apply shall not exceed the price of the products, except as expressly provided in these conditions.

Applications

The competition runs biennially, with the next one being held from 26th to 31st May 2025 in Routh Concert Hall at Bromsgrove School. The Finalists' Concert will take place on the evening of Saturday, 31st May 2025.
