What the Competition involves for a competitor
Competitors should carefully read the Rules to ensure eligibility and conformity and the dates for the next competition.
The Bromsgrove is a unique international music competition; all chosen competitors are invited to stay on site, with full board and lodging provided. The competition takes place in three stages, after initial acceptance carried out by independent adjudicators on the basis of recorded performance.
1. A Preliminary Round takes place for all competitors who are allocated times during the first three days of the competition.
2. Later in the week, there is a Semi-Final Round for those competitors selected from the Preliminary Round by the Adjudicators.
3. The Final Round, known as 'The Finalists' Concert', takes place before a live audience during the evening of the last day for just three competitors chosen to move forward. At the end of that evening, the Chairman of the Adjudicators announces the order of winners and the prizes are presented.
4. Subject to any COVID-19 restrictions at the time, the whole competition is scheduled to take place in Routh Concert Hall.
